Foam Glass from Foamrox

We are impressed with the product and the work that was carried out, and this is something we are considering using more of in future projects.

The choice of Foamrox products was made with both the practical execution of the construction phase and future operations in mind. The elements are exceptionally lightweight, which has resulted in significant savings in man-hours and a more efficient, safer installation process within the tunnel. This has been of great value during construction. At the same time, these solutions provide a clear positive contribution to the project's carbon footprint, with approximately a 50 percent reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to low-carbon concrete Class B.

Fire barriers and cross-passages are critical elements of tunnel safety. These are solutions you hopefully never have to use—but they must perform 100 percent when it matters most. Foamrox delivers robust solutions that meet these requirements effectively. Our collaboration with Foamrox has been excellent throughout the project phase, characterized by strong follow-up, high availability, and a solution-oriented partnership.

The material is quite simply brilliant. It’s easy to work with and fast to install. We saved a significant amount of time by using this product.
