Emergency Stations from Foamrox

The Principle Behind the Solution

How It Works

Foamrox emergency stations are constructed from lightweight, prefabricated modules installed in traffic space niches or behind tunnel vaults. After assembly, the structure is ready for further technical installations without the need for post-work such as drying time or painting.

Unique Product Features

Why Choose Emergency Stations from Foamrox?

Fireproof

Approved in fire class EI60. Self-extinguishing and adds no energy in the event of a fire

Water- and Vapor-Proof

Water- and vapor-proof, with no moisture absorption

Low Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Approximately 50% lower CO2 emissions than low-carbon concrete. In addition, there are low greenhouse gas emissions regarding production, transport, and installation.

Low Weight

From 18-40 kg/m2 (less than 10% of concrete)

Easy Handling

Easy drilling and processing. Equipotential bonding is not required in Foamrox elements.

Maintenance-Friendly

Easy to clean, smooth surface

Insulating

Provides insulation equivalent to standard building insulation

High Compressive Strength

Has high compressive strength with no deformation under permanent load.

Dimensionally Stable

Is dimensionally stable because glass neither expands nor shrinks.

Recycled

The main part of the product consists of recycled glass.
Simple Installation

Installation of Emergency Stations

Foamrox emergency stations are delivered on pallets with all necessary materials and a simple installation manual. The elements are easily lifted into place using a standard electric lifting machine and require no post-work such as drying time or painting—unlike traditional concrete structures. Once the structure is assembled, all technical equipment can be attached directly to the wall and ceiling elements, making the installation ready for use in a short amount of time.

Customer Feedback

Read general feedback on how our customers experience the quality, progress, and performance of Foamrox products.

The product is very easy to install, offering clear HSE advantages during the installation phase, short installation times, and reduced man-hours.

Sondre Svalastog, AF Gruppen

With its products and material compositions, Foamrox has a unique starting point for significantly changing our approach to the outfitting and interior finishing of tunnels.

Stian Lystad, NCC

The choice of Foamrox products was made with both the practical execution of the construction phase and future operations in mind. The elements are exceptionally lightweight, which has resulted in significant savings in man-hours and a more efficient, safer installation process within the tunnel. This has been of great value during construction. At the same time, these solutions provide a clear positive contribution to the project's carbon footprint, with approximately a 50 percent reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to low-carbon concrete Class B.

Fire barriers and cross-passages are critical elements of tunnel safety. These are solutions you hopefully never have to use—but they must perform 100 percent when it matters most. Foamrox delivers robust solutions that meet these requirements effectively. Our collaboration with Foamrox has been excellent throughout the project phase, characterized by strong follow-up, high availability, and a solution-oriented partnership.
