A Foamrox emergency exit installed in a tunnel on the new E18
The emergency exit has been installed in the Torsbuåsen tunnel in Arendal. Installation took less than four hours.
It can make future tunnel protection faster, more reasonable and much simpler.
With support from researchers, the company has developed a material from recycled glass, which is fire resistant and waterproof – and weights barely a tenth of the weight of concrete.
It is a pleasure to see the outlines of an industrial company with great opportunities for success, both nationally and internationally.

Foamrox reduces the greenhouse gas emissions
A Master Thesis at NTNU in Trondheim (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) concludes that the Foamrox technology clearly gives the lowest greenhouse gas emissions in water-proofing and frost protection of road and railway tunnels.
All in all, Foamrox-technology results in large cost savings in the investment, operation and maintenance of tunnels.
It provides significant benefits in handling – a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) promotion measure.

Helgesen from Glasopor to Foamrox
Kjell Håkon Helgesen, who has been employed as CEO of Glasopor and Sirkel (previously Norsk Glassgjenvinning) for the past seven years is now in place as CEO of Foamrox.
